Remediation of Plating Sludge Lagoons

At a former fastener manufacturing site in Ontario, the Avendt Group is managing the overall site characterization and documentation requiring the removal of 22,750 cubic meters of cadmium plating sludge. The sludge is contained in a series of earthen lagoons constructed within a wetlands area. The lagoon area are being redeveloped as a sunken meadow with drainage improvements.
